MAJOR Overhaul

I finally overhauled the visual gallery to work more how I want it to. This is the beginning of a bunch of refinements to the site that I intend to make.

I now have entries organized by day, so they’ll sit side by side if your resolution can handle it (anything over 1024×768 should do marvelously). I’ve tested the changes in Camino .7 for Mac and IE for Windows 6, both render the changes properly. I also modified how I’m doing the navigation section… it’s a small change visually, but a pretty significant change under the hood. This has not yet propagated to any other page, but it will over time. If you notice something rendering funkily, just leave me a comment, and I’ll fix it.

I’d like to thank Kadyellebee for offering some advice on how to get the photoblog to act how I wanted it to (BTW, blogstyles.com has some great tutorials on this stuff).

I’ll post a real update sometime soon.. there is a lot to talk about.

General Update

I’m currently at my school residency (I attend Vermont College, which is part of Union Institute and University), which I’ll hopefully find time to write about in the not too distant future, as it is definitely worth of comment. I just wanted to post a quick update as to what’s going on and all.

Some interesting links:
Stealing Andy: this is an interesting band out of Rochester, NY, that has an interesting sound to it. Eric Cox, the lead singer/guitarist is a classmate of mine. He happened to bring some demo cds with him to residency, and I’m pleased with what I hear.
Vermont College: Nice school, with a focus on LEARNING, not grades. Non-traditional, but that’s a good thing. (Again, I’ll write more on it later.)
MindFlight: I’ve had this site listed in my links for ages… it is the fledgling brainchild of a friend of mine. If you have some writing that you’d like to get online, head over there. I’m finally writing a blurb about it because he finally has something on the main page.

Okay, enough for now, more later! (And if you visit, post a comment!)

Stuff, UBERCON, and Stuff

It’s been a very exciting month. I’ve been working on my schoolwork, which is a course on 3d modelling and computer graphics. It’s slow going, and relatively difficult (especially since I’m learning it on my own), but a great deal of fun. I also spent two weeks with my fiance (as I already mentioned), which was a mixture of good (spending time with Mickey is ALWAYS good) and bad (no real net connection for me… made it hard to get some things accomplished that I needed/wanted to do). I wouldn’t trade the time for anything, though.

Also this month, a lot of things started coming to a head for UberCon.
